Mission

AI Should Not Be Gatekept

The tools exist to automate real work, save real money, and give small businesses the same operational power that used to require enterprise budgets. Most people just don't know how to access them yet.

That's what M-1-1 Consulting does. I build practical AI systems for local businesses—replacing expensive subscriptions, eliminating repetitive work, and handing over tools that people actually own and control. No recurring fees. No vendor lock-in. No gatekeeping.

Responsible AI Use

I believe AI is a powerful tool—and powerful tools require responsibility. The focus should be on using this technology for meaningful work and the public good, not on vanity, harm, or waste.

AI needs governance. It needs accountability. And it needs people paying attention to what it costs—not just in dollars, but in energy, water, and carbon. Data centers are expanding rapidly, and most people have no idea what's happening in their own communities as a result.

Environmental Accountability

Every AI query, every model training run, every automation I build consumes energy. I don't ignore that. A portion of every M-1-1 project funds OffsetOur.ai—my startup dedicated to offsetting the environmental impact of AI usage and holding data centers accountable, starting in Wisconsin.

This isn't greenwashing. It's a direct response to the climate crisis. AI's carbon footprint is real and growing, and the people closest to the infrastructure—local communities—deserve transparency about what's being built in their backyard.

Community First

M-1-1 Consulting is built on the belief that technology should strengthen communities, not extract from them. I work with local businesses because that's where the impact is most direct and most needed.

I also accept barter and trade from local businesses. Not everyone has the budget for a custom project, but everyone has something to offer. Building a network of businesses that support each other is as important to me as the technology itself.

If any of this resonates with you—whether you need help with automation, want to learn more about AI's environmental impact, or just want to talk—reach out.
